Add and adjust specifications
With DesignSpecs it is really easy to add and adjust the product specifications of products in your projects. Please note that everytime you add a product to a project, a new copy is made within your project! This means that:
- You can add the same product multiple times to each project with different product specifications. Just lookup the right product under “Categories”, “Brands” or by using the search function. Then press the “+” to make a new copy of the product.
- You can change the product specifications of individual copies at any time, but just within your project page. Just press the edit button (looking like a small pen) to change your specifications.
How to add specifications
When you add a product to your project you can add the following specifications:
Select an image
Click on a thumbnail to select an image. The image you choose will be the image that is used on your project board and exports.
Room(s) and quantity per room
Select the rooms you wish to add the product to. Add the quantity of products per room.
Optional information|
The following product specifications are optional
- Dealer: name of the dealer(s) that can supply the product
- Code: your personal reference number for the product
- Finish Size: the finish size of the product
- Notes: any other information
- Specifications: other specifications of the material such as type, fabric, colour, material or other details
Check box “Specification completed”
This check box is only here for your convenience and has no further consequences. When you feel you added all necessary information, just tick this box. Just a small reminder that you completed this task.
Tips
1) How you use the specifications is completely up to you, so feel free to use the fields any way you want!
2) Don’t hesitate to add the dealer, code or notes. These fields are not automatically added to your reports and will only be exported to your document if you explicity choose for that.
3) Please note that adjustments are never definitive; after saving the product you can alter specifications at any time by opening the product on the project board.
